With Halloween just around the corner, we thought we would shed some LIGHT on the situation!

It's not uncommon for people to struggle with whether they should celebrate it or not. Some see it as a dark day full of evil influence, a day attributed to satan, while others deem it a harmless time for fun, costumes and candy!

Bottom line we encourage you to develop your own approach to Halloween based on your own convictions. However you choose to celebrate, the responsibility should always rest on the adult of the family, not the child. The peer pressure on children is far too great for them to be objective. Providing a safe, fun environment must be a priority.

A great Christian alternative is to throw a 'Light Party' - a themed party whereby party goers can dress up as their favorite Bible Hero or superhero and play games and listen to gospel music.
