The year is rapidly coming to a close.. It has been an extremely busy, challenging but overall very exciting year so far! One thing that has been resounding loud and clear is that we should keep our focus on God ..at all times!
We live in a fast paced 'want everything now kind of world' and there are endless distractions that can shift our focus from God.
God should always be first in your life. If you seek God first, He will take care of all the other areas of your life, He truly will! Your first priority as a child of God should be to spend every day making sure God is preeminent in your life. This is not always easy. The world, the flesh and the devil will conspire together to keep God low on your list of priorities. So you must fight for Him!
How do we put God first?
In Psalm 63:1 it reads, “O God, thou art my God; early will I seek you: My soul thirsts for you, My flesh longs for you In a dry and thirsty land, where there is no water,"
Mark 1:35–37 “Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed. 36 And Simon and those who were with Him searched for Him. 37 When they found Him, they said to Him, “Everyone is looking for You.”
We encourage you today to spend time alone with God in prayer at the beginning of your day, read the Word, and meditate. During this time you will center your mind, heart and soul around God. Your soul will be refreshed, restored, renewed and grace is yours for the day ahead. We can't think of a better way to start our day...can you?
